This session will focus on treatment options for patients with head and neck cancer and neurologic disease. A framework for choosing the best treatment will be presented, using EBT principles and levels of evidence. A review of most frequently used compensatory and rehabilitative treatments will be summarized along with the evidence for their efficacy. Case studies and examples will be intermixed with lecture. In the afternoon there will be an emphasis on management decisions that go beyond direct therapy such as PO/NPO decisions and preventing pneumonia.
