Carney Sotto, PhD, CCC-SLP, is associate professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and director of First Year Experience in the College of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Cincinnati. She teaches and engages in research in the areas of child language acquisition and intervention. She has lectured at numerous workshops and meetings at the local, state and national levels. She holds an MA and PhD from the University of Cincinnati. She is the current president of the Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association (OSHLA) and is an OSHLA Fellow.
