This session will address the realities of working in a multilingual/multicultural world. Challenges to working with bilingual patients, or monolingual in non-English languages and the use of interpreters/translators will be discussed. Language diversity in the U.S. will be explored. The evidence-base for bilingualism in aphasia will be applied to the assessment/treatment paradigm.
