Educational institutions rely on standardized assessments such as the Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) and Rigby Running Records to evaluate the reading fluency and comprehension of students. Can interpretation of this data determine if there was a need for further speech evaluation by the Speech Language Specialist? The purpose of this study is to review available data to see if there is a relationship between the rate of oral reading fluency determined from DIBELS scores and reading comprehension level from Rigby.
