Preschool Children Who Stutter: Determining Risk and Planning Intervention

Speech-language pathologists routinely ask for information and training on working with preschool children who stutter. This session will review the literature and current practices to provide clinicians with the necessary tools to determine whether a preschool child is at-risk for stuttering. Intervention strategies will be introduced and functional examples will be used to demonstrate specific strategies applicable to working therapeutically with preschool children who stutter and their families.
