Lynn Nowak, Legislator for NJSHA and Executive VP of Porzio Governmental Affairs will be presenting current bills and related information pertaining to Healthcare and Speech Pathology at the state level including the status of Group Homes for individuals with developmental disabilites and the therapeutic services they are offered. Kathy Palatucci will provide her ""hot"" findings from the ASHA Advisory Council Meetings held March 12-16, 2015. She will convey ASHA's advocacy efforts at the Federal Level including an update on HR 755/S.539 regarding the repeal of the Medicare therapy cap which has been introduced in Congress. Barbara Schwerin Bohus wants to know, ""Are You Ready for the Coming of ICD-10?"" The latest information from ASHA will be given along with pertinent updates from State Medicare Administrative Contractor Network (SMAC) and State Advocates for Reimbursement(STAR)which deals with Medicaid. Mary McArdle, Healthcare Committee's Expert regarding Early Intervention(EI)will also be speaking.
