The Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP) is a developmentally sequenced learning and language milestones assessment that is frequently used in the ABA community. The VB-MAPP targets the developmental ages of 0-48 months across a variety of areas including the following: play, receptive language, expressive language, reading, pragmatic language, writing and math. It proves to be an excellent tool in identifying an individual's current level of function, determining developmentally appropriate current and future targets, tracking development and writing IEP goals. This presentation serves as an overview of the assessment tool and its use for SLPs. Basic knowledge of ABA vocabulary and methods is required.
