Transforming Special Education: Leadership Priorities for Now

Friday, 1:00pm to 2:00pm
Rooms 70/71/72/73
Session 13
Missouri Council of Administrators of Special Education (MO-CASE) believes that our most urgent priority is to ensure that special education is relevant, responsive and effective in working collaboratively with other educators to meet the multitude of challenges within Missouri schools today. Achieving this priority requires a new vision for who we are and how we do our work as special educators. Presenters will share the vision of a unified educational system emerging from interviews and conversations with state/district leaders, principals, teachers, and parents and the high-impact systems and strategies necessary for our best-case scenario to become real. The time for re-inventing special education is now!
