This session explores how autism may affect a child's communication, and provides practical techniques an SLP can implement to teach the child. The attendees will learn the relationship between sensory issues, communication, and behaviors. Speech and language development will be enhanced as the child begins to respond to sensory and behavioral interventions by the whole service providing team.
