Research is an integral part of communication sciences and disorders as students and professionals. Graduate programs in communication sciences and disorders often require some form of research. Some programs require comprehensive literature reviews and others require graduate theses. Research is a discipline at the heart of our field and an important skill for students to develop. This session explores the research opportunities for students and the process of completing a research project including: choosing a topic, selecting a supervisor, and handling research road blocks. Students will hear first-hand experience from two recent graduates who completed masters theses.
