The purpose of the study is to investigate the extent to which the amount of liquid inside a vessel influences swallowing behaviors in healthy adults. Participants in this study were asked to take a normal drink from four cups of water. Cups were filled 1/2 full, 3/4 full, and full. An additional "foil cup" was included as the first cup for each participant to drink from after a colleagues' study found participants seem to take a smaller sip from the cup from which they first drink. Volume was measured before and after consumption. Results are awaiting completion.
