This poster presentation will identify the incidence of poverty in children in the state of Missouri and its impact on language and literacy development will be described. The preparation of graduate students in identifying and treating this population will be evaluated. A tool will be explained that outlines the procedures necessary to adequately prepare graduate students to work with this population.
