Cross-Cultural Differences Among Cinderella Stories

Cultural and linguistic differences have been reported across cultures for oral and written discourse. These differences include discourse organization and expressed values and morals in the story. Three Cinderella stories from a Chinese, Korean and Native American background wre compared with a European American version. All stories were compared using a story grammar analysis. Morals and values were analyzed by a team of investigators with expertise in cultural diversity. This descriptive and qualitative data will be presented.
