Cognitive Linguistics of Athletes Post Concussion: A Systematic Review

The purpose of this study was to summarize cognitive linguistic effects that athletes face secondary to multiple concussions. This review examined social and cognitive linguistic deficits seen in adolescent and adult athletes at the time of injury and post-injury. This review included 543 athletes that met the inclusion criteria. The studies included in this review demonstrate that multiple concussions may have an effect on cognitive linguistic and social skills. This poster session will discuss the findings from this review.
