This survey study was conducted to assess Speech Language Pathologists' (SLPs) and Speech Language Pathology students' (at the undergraduate and graduate levels) awareness and integration of current disability rights trends. Specifically, participants were surveyed on their knowledge and perception of person first language, self-advocacy, and employment when working with people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Participants were asked if they implement or plan to implement this knowledge into their professional and personal lives.
