Over the past 20 years and above and beyond caloric and rotational testing, there have emerged new quantitative assessments including both cervical and ocular vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (cVEMP and oVEMP) and video head impulse testing (vHIT). In this session, we will describe each of the tests, the anatomy they assess, how the tests are performed and what data the tests generate. Additionally, the interpretation of each of the tests will be discussed and how the status of the peripheral vestibular system can be described based on the various patterns of abnormality.
