This panel session will include two school-based speech-language pathologists, a low incidence coordinator and the directors of the Teaching Age-appropriate Learning via Communication (TAALC ) project. The panel will discuss the need for establishing functional communication systems for our students, creative solutions to embed communication services in the student's daily curriculum and the challenges involved. Discussion will be open and the audience is encouraged to share their experiences, successes and challenges. The initiative for developing communities of practice around this topic will be included.
