Auditory processing disorder (APD) is an audiological diagnosis, but the primary impact is in listening difficulties and language abilities for academics, social interaction and life skills. This session will define APD, present audiological and speech-language testing and discuss treatment for the APD and for co-morbid academic/language/social differences. Psycho-educational testing and other co-morbid diagnoses, such as learning disability and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder will be discussed.
